Meet the Doctors : Timothy N. Young

Timothy N. Young, M.D. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University and subsequently attained his medical degree and doctorate in pathology from the Duke University School of Medicine, where he was a medical scientist training program fellow. After an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. A Durham native, he returned to the Triangle in August 2000, commencing ophthalmology practice with his father, N. William Young, Jr. M.D. Dr. Young enjoys golf, basketball, and spending time with his wife and young family.
