Meet the Doctors : J. Richard Marion

J. Richard Marion, M.D. is a specialist in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery and has practiced ophthalmology in the Durham area since 1994. He is a native of Winston Salem, NC, and a graduate of Duke University. Dr. Marion received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and also completed his residency in ophthalmology at Duke University Eye Center. He did a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Duke University Eye Center and a fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. He was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University Eye Center for 8 1⁄2 years before going into private practice. Dr. Marion enjoys running, biking, and spending family time with his wife and two daughters.
